The Spanish Association Against Cancer inaugurated last Friday its new headquarters in Mazarrón. Located in Fuenterrabía Street, its opening allows the center to recover its activities in the locality, since it was currently without space in which to work and attend to both patients and their families.
More than 100 people attended the event and were able to get to know the new premises, which have been loaned by our company, and which has 84 square meters on a ground floor and open space at the outdoor entrance. There, users will have the personalized attention that was not possible until now, in addition to attending courses, workshops, lectures and other activities organized by the AECC.
During the ceremony, Luisa Heredia, president of the Local Board of the AECC of Mazarrón, commented that “we will offer morning and afternoon service. In addition, we have materials such as articulated beds or wheelchairs to provide users and also provide psychological care” and thanked ‘the continued collaboration that has always given us Perichán’.
For his part, our general manager, Celestino Méndez, stated that “we are very aware of the important work you do every day and how necessary it is for you to be able to do it in suitable facilities. For my part, I can only say thank you. And that you can continue to count on us for whatever you need”.
